The House of Culture of Utrera has witnessed the official presentation of one of the most anticipated events on the Andalusian cultural agenda, the Festival Flamenco Gazpacho Andaluz, which is celebrated on July 5 in the courtyard of the Salesian School of Morón de la Frontera.
In its 58th edition, the Andalusian Gazpacho pays tribute to the Gypsy stew from Utrera, the dean of festivals flamencos of Spain. A recognition that also has a strong symbolic component, since it was precisely in 1963, after attending this event in Utrera, that a group of friends from Morón decided to promote a similar event in their city.
The event was attended by the President of the Provincial Council of Seville, Javier Fernández; the mayor of Utrera, Francisco Jimenezthe mayor of Morón de la Frontera, Juan Manuel Rodríguez; as well as members of the governing teams of both town councils. The senior brother of the Gypsy Brotherhood of Utrera also participated, José Jiménez; the author of the official poster, Miguel Ángel Muñoz Olmo; and the flamencologist and festival presenter, Kiko ValleThey were joined by participating artists and residents of Utrera and Morón.

The Culture delegate of Morón, alfonso luna, who was in charge of leading the presentation, thanked the Utrera City Council for its involvement in this celebration since they announced it. “Thank you to the Utrera City Council and the Culture Department for their willingness from the very beginning,” Luna said.
The mayor of Utrera, Francisco Jiménez, stated that "we have an impressive region and towns, with a culture and tradition that need to be recognized, so congratulations." Regarding this year's lineup, he said, "We have to take our hats off to the group of artists who will take the stage on the night of the Andalusian Gazpacho."
As for the lineup of artists, the festival will begin at 21 p.m. with a performance by students from the Municipal School of Music and Dance. Afterward, there will be Aurora Vargas, Rafael de Utrera y Mari Peña al cante, Paco's Spender as lead guitar, Juana Amaya to the dance and a closing party with bulerías Dani de Utrera, Encarna La Negra, Luis Peña and Carmen Amaya.
Utrera and Morón, protagonists
The event's representative poster was created by Miguel Ángel Muñoz Olmo and is presented on a wooden panel with a collage-like base. Its composition combines traditional poster fonts. flamencoand a background of reddish and orange tones, evoking the color of gazpacho. Among the visual elements are press clippings in which emblematic personalities of the flamenco from Utrera and Morón, such as Fernanda de Utrera or the Perrate, and characteristic symbols of both festivals.
