FELIPA DEL MORENO, I AM YOURS
Our guest, at a very young age, opened her voice with some gypsy sayings to the amazement of all her family. Soon after, she found herself singing Antonio el Pipa at a Bulería Festival in Jerez before thousands of people. Almost immediately, she also sang in Villamarta under the direction of Fernando Terremoto Jr., in that unsurpassed zambomba that all of Jerez remembers. Behind all this was a voice endowed with very special registers, a very gypsy rajo but with sweetness and melisma. A few years have passed, and Felipa Medrano Lara, "la del Moreno," has grown in every way to position herself as one of the most interesting singers in Jerez today. Her hopes are intact and she has important projects under her belt, including a tribute to Parrita that will be released at the first Jerez Coliseum in October 2024, as Felipa told us exclusively during this interview on our Space.
