Last Saturday, September 27th, the call for the Spanish guitar to which the tireless Inigo Osset He dedicates his efforts to art with true love for a year, making his home and estate available to music. I say his home because the conference takes place on a beautiful estate with its corresponding farmhouse in the very Castilian and noble town of Madrid. Chinchón: The Mantle MillThe event, by invitation only, brings together the world of culture, who enjoy the best music for five hours. This year, the great percussionist Tino DiGeraldo, the young guitarist David of Arahal, the three Brazilian brothers Guedes, commanded by the ineffable Karaí, the singer from Alicante Blanca Paloma and also the singer and bassist Pastora AndradesWe had a great time.
That same day the meeting was called II Paco de Lucía Master Award Competition of young guitar promises, where three prizes are awarded, the Guitarras Ramírez prize for the best composition, which went to Aaron Jimenez, the AIE/Creative Music Foundation award for best performance, which went to Angela Zarzuela, and that of Son Estrella Galicia to the most complete artist, which he won Manuel Herrera Jr..
It must be said that the event is sponsored by the famous Galician beer brand that all these years has been betting on the guitar in these days that want to promote what is undoubtedly Spain's best contribution to humanity, His Majesty the guitar.
"The Estrella Galicia brewery is betting on the guitar at these events, which aim to promote what is undoubtedly Spain's greatest contribution to humanity: Her Majesty the guitar."

Maestro Tino acted as a musician for everyone, as he usually does at events of this nature. After the competition, the gala began, which Tino opened with the Indian tabla, presenting on stage the reasons why he has been, is, and always will be. a reference for contemporary Spanish musicHe was then joined by David de Arahal, the very young sonanta maestro who has been demonstrating not only his quality as a performer but also the inspiration to become a leading composer. He gave us pieces from the album he released a year ago, Alley of Art, remembering Manolo Sanlucar and his masterful bullfighting which brought tears to our eyes. We saw, of course, the emotion on my namesake's face. Not in vain, Maestro Manolo had him as a faithful ally for much of his career. When his mini-concert concluded, David accompanied Blanca Palobut then on to Pastora Andrades, who performed tasteful songs with their beautiful voices.
And the second part arrived. It was started by the great Karaí Guedes with his seven-string guitar, inherited from his alter ego and reference, Yamandu Costa, a family friend and, as I said, the young Karaí's main mentor. From the first notes, the audience was amazed by the technique of the Brazilian from the state of Rio Gran do Sul, a state bordering Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina that embraces the tradition of the Jesuit missions and, as can be seen from the guitarist's attire, is an authentic Brazilian gaucho. Two pieces, delightful in their melody and harmony, and overwhelming in their technicality, gave way to his sister. Brother, singer and, as the guitarist himself told us, a missionary, and his other brother, Andresito, on the accordion. Karaí's three-finger plucking forced those of us present to say to him, "Please, don't get involved in the flamenco that sinks us." As we say in Cadiz: a blow.
Finally, the end of the party. First, Between two waters in homage to Big Chief Paco, with three guitars, Karaí and two luxury spontaneous songs, the great Jose Maria Bandera y Andrés PituketeTo close, everyone went on stage to sing and play, and at the express wish of the host they did a version of Open the door de Triana.
In short, it was a joy, and we hope the celebration continues for many more years. Thanks to the Osset family for their selfless dedication, to Estrella Galicia for their sponsorship, and to all the distinguished attendees for the warm welcome they gave the artists.
