In our Space expoflamenco In Jerez we have prepared a day of flamenco and wine culture that will feature the album 'Colores Morenos' (Audivis Ethincs, 1994), from Juan Moneo 'El Torta' and Moraíto to which we are going to associate a wine as special as the palo cut from Jerez.
What are the Flamenco Culture & Sherry sessions?
These meetings are called Cultura Flamenca & Sherry. It is a version of our winemaking experience "Flamenco & Sherry” is a bit more academic. From general concepts, we turn our attention to more specific topics. The idea is to propose a character or a record (as in this case) for in-depth study while tasting and savoring a wine associated with that character. Study and enjoyment, that's the point.
When and where?
The activity – POSTPONED – took place on Friday, June 20, at 20,00:XNUMX p.m., on the eve of St. John's Day, at the headquarters of our Space expoflamenco, located in the Los Ramos Building on Diego Fernández Herrera Street, s/n, Jerez. Content
To advance the study in question It will be about analyzing and sectioning each third of the album 'Colores Morenos' that united John Moneo “El Torta” with Moraíto in 1994. In its development we will try to answer questions such as: What references does Juan take from history for his bulería, fandangos, soleá or siguiriya? Which historical figures of the cante pay tribute to him? What are his personal contributions?
Presentation of the Vinyl Club expoflamenco
The activity will be the ideal setting to present a new feature of our Space for the next academic year and which will be called Vinyl Club expoflamenco. It promises to be a very intriguing cultural activity with "vinyl and wine," as our colleague Gonzálo López has renamed it. So stay tuned.
All thanks to our colleague José María Castaño, flamencologist and Certified Trainer of Jerez Wines – Xèréz – Sherry
