This month in our host city of Jerez has one name of its own: the Horse Fair. This annual event takes place during the second week of May. But our program continues with various meetings and interviews with artists who come to share their projects and ideas. Alongside these, we also have a selection of educational activities. Here is the planned schedule:
Tuesday, May 5th, at 10:30 a.m. Meeting with the singer Ezekiel Benitez who comes to present his latest album, titled 'Lo que nadie ve' (What Nobody Sees). This album, which premiered at the Jerez Festival, was released directly on vinyl and as a USB drive. Each track features a different guitarist and reflects the artistic vision of this great artist.
Thursday, May 7th, at 12:00 pm. Interview with the flamenco singer Lucía Aliaño. A very young artist who is generating a lot of buzz with her recent public appearances. Winner of saeta singing competitions, participant in The Voice Kids, recipient of the Revelation Artist award at the Jerez Festival, and a regular performer at every edition of the Kriatura Festival, she has presented a new show entitled 'The Voice of the Piano,' a musical format that fuses flamenco tradition with piano accompaniment.
Friday, May 8th, at 6:30 pm. Summoned The Goblin Route through old Jerez For a pre-arranged group from Barcelona visiting the Jerez Horse Fair. Wednesday, May 13th, at 12:00 pm. Special activity to mark the celebration of the Jerez Horse Fair 2026Training workshop 'Origin and evolution of Sevillanas'. A historical overview of its nature, development, and consolidation at the major fairs of Andalusia. We will also discuss whether or not it should be recognized as a distinct style of the fair. flamencoAdmission is free and a complimentary glass of sherry will be served. From the hand of our teacher Marga Flores A course with a new schedule so you can learn flamenco dance in a pedagogical and authentic way. The course schedule will be as follows on a permanent basis, except for holidays: Wednesday mornings from 11:00 to 12:15; Wednesday afternoons from 18:45 to 20:00; Friday afternoons from 17:30 to 18:45 (Sevillanas) / from 18:45 to 20:00 (Bulerías). From the personal perspective of the graphic artist of Roksaneh Emma Fotovat, The content of the exhibition is a megaphone for the social and cultural values of women with the flamenco as a focus of attention. The Iranian photographer and filmmaker, Roksaneh Emma Fotovat, develops a visual work around the flamenco, understood as a living art, a language of the body, and a space for transmission. Open to visitors during business hours, Monday to Saturday.
