In collaboration with the association Flamenco 21st century, Juan Parrilla (flamenco flute) successfully developed his training workshop with the title of Flamenco applied to melodic instruments. Our Cultural Space, provided for this occasion, welcomed a good number of participants, many of them from the conservatory and music schools.
It is a real luxury to have the teaching of a great artist like Juan Fernández Gálvez 'Juan Parrilla'. Above all, for offering a much-needed perspective in these times, as melodic instruments are becoming more and more established in shows. flamencos. It should not be forgotten that Juan was one of the musicians who introduced the flamenco flute on stage, together with colleagues such as Jorge Pardo. Since then, its presence has been growing in importance. As was well explained in the tenor of the course: flamenco It has been understood as music for guitar and cante, so we find few historical references in relation to the melodic instruments of this art. In recent years flamenco music has evolved in a dizzying way, so that currently there are no borders for any instrument, everyone can play and sound flamencoYes, the question is to understand it.
