El flamenco It's as old as it is new. Just when it seems like everything has been invented, new ways of praising this artistic genre emerge. The latest to join this wave of new creations is the beer company Alhambra, which will celebrate its centenary in 2025. To commemorate this anniversary, it has decided to create a new palo flamenco: calm down, the palo no hurry.

And to this end, he has relied on a good handful of artists who know the subject. People from the world of flamenco and of several generations: Carmen Linares (cantaora), Archangel (singer), Diego del Morao (guitarist), kiki morente (singer), Sandra Carrasco (cantaora), Joseph Maya (flamenco dancer), Antonio Cortes (singer and guitarist), Dani de Moron (guitarist), Ane Carrasco (percussion), John Carmona (singer and guitar), Saúl Quirós (singer), David de Jacoba (singer) and Gema and Samara Carrasco (singers).

This entire stellar cast was filmed in Granada, under the musical direction of the composer, director and guitarist Javier Limon, a video that welcomes this tranquility. A journey, documented by Little Spain, the producer of C Tangana, which won two Goya awards in 2025 for The flamenco guitar of Yerai Cortés. This theme uses the cante, the dance and its peculiar melody to tell the story of a unique style influenced by Granada.

«Technically, this new palo flamenco It is an eight-beat time signature –4/4 subdivided into 3/3/2– that is unpublished. It is inspired by the cante of the soleá, although somewhat shorter. This creates a feeling of unfinished rhythm, a slow rhythm.

Analyzing this new palo flamenco We technically find ourselves with an eight-beat time signature – 4/4 subdivided into 3/3/2 – which is unprecedented. It is inspired by the cante of the soleá, although somewhat shortened. This creates a feeling of unfinished rhythm, a slow rhythm.

It is, without a doubt, a palo innovative, as it also uses a lower sixth string tuned to B, which expresses depth. And yes, it is the first palo What this does. According to the brand, through experts, this "generates a more relaxed and reflective state of mind, with less haste." Finally, this style is the first in history that doesn't have a punchline, that isn't in a hurry to finish.

«Furthermore, it is the first time that such a large and diverse group of artists from different generations and backgrounds have created a palo"From here on, everything is done with humility. Now it's flamenco culture that has to embrace it and incorporate it so that, as they say, it eventually takes hold," explains Javier Limón.
