First, I would like to thank Alejandro Hurtado García His friendship. Also, his availability, attention, and collaboration in granting me an interview, or rather, a wonderful conversation about what we are both passionate about. His first musical experiences began at the age of nine. He was interested in classical guitar, as well as the music of the bands his brother saw in music videos. Before long, along with a good friend, Alejandro enrolled in lessons with the maestro. Marco UcedaHe is also interested in traditional music and flamencoa guitar discipline he has maintained to this day. It is his rapid musical and technical evolution that is so surprising about Alejandro.

He then enters the Vicente Lillo Cánovas Professional Conservatory of Music and DanceHe completed his studies there from 2005 to 2013. The professor studied there. Raúl Juan RuizAnd at the same time, he studies with Pedro Alarcón flamenco guitar, and modern harmony with Roberto SabaterWe also mentioned his training with David Cerreduela and with Arturo Cerreduela, El NaniFrom whom he learns the secrets of the Caño Roto guitar. His classical training leaves an extraordinary clarity of execution in his playing.

Alejandro is a simple and friendly person. He tells me about his first professional job in the Company of Joseph Sorianoand how, with Mayte Martín, she became aware of the entire professional network within the flamencoHe explains with joy how the guitar is a working instrument, but that each guitar brings something different to his life depending on the moment. Among his guitars, he recalls one made by the luthier José Ángel ChacónThen came a Hermanos Conde in 2008, from the store on Felipe V street, the Sobrinos de Domingo Esteso from 1974 or its current Pepe Romero of 2024. But she fondly remembers one Manuel Reyes from 1987 that he gave her Payo UmbertoApart from Santos Hernández de Montoya and Manolo de Huelva.

"El Primer Llanto is a work in which he embodies everything he is: his personality, his music. He gives the guitar center stage with elements and resources he masters like no other. Without artifice, Alejandro constructs his flamenco truth—deep, rooted, and with a contemporary touch. He draws us closer to an eminently majestic musicality."

For Alejandro, the knowledge of the classical guitar within the guitarist flamenco It is fundamental, given the contribution of musical elements that aid in the performance and composition of works. Not forgetting the compositional resources it provides. In this dialogue, he refers to the compositional methods of Mario Escudero and Stephen of Sanlucar.

He mentions that for his album Master of Classical Art Flamenco, Faustino Nunez y Estela Zatania They contact the Zayas family. In turn, Carlos Martin Ballester encourages him to return to the Zayas Foundation To learn more about the guitars of Ramón Montoya and Manolo de Huelva. Then it is Rodrigo de Zayas who shows him the guitars. And they see in Alejandro Hurtado the perfect guitarist to make a recording, not only with works by the two masters, but with his guitars by Santos Hernández. Thus, on May 17, 2022, together with the Zayas family, the recording of this sublime and exquisite flamenco work begins.

SieveTheir second album is put on hold to record Master of Classical Art FlamencoBut as he continued, Alejandro poured out everything he had inside. It's an essential piece for every guitarist. flamencoThe most traditional flamenco elements are fused with technical evolution. Within this work, an accessible musical language is blended with cadences and passages of stratospheric flamenco quality.

And as if that weren't enough, in 2025 Alejandro Hurtado gives us The First CryThis work embodies his entire being: his personality, his music. He gives the guitar center stage, using elements and resources he masters like no other. Without any artifice, Alejandro constructs his flamenco truth—deep, rooted, and with a contemporary touch. He draws us into a profoundly majestic musicality.

Alejandro is a down-to-earth and approachable person. From his guitar flow rivers of music, somewhere between classical and modern. flamencoHe is able to transmit his passion for the guitar from stage to stage. His hands glide across an ebony neck, creating harmonies of admirable flamenco essence. He plays melodies that transport you from that barber's touch to the present day. Strumming, thumb picks, fingerpicking, tremolos, and arpeggios touch your soul. Not only because of his breathtaking technical precision, but also because of the delicate and gentle touch he gives to his guitar. And therefore, he gives us, his listeners. But don't miss the opportunity to visit the stage of expoflamencoWhere Faustino Nunez redact a magnificent article about The First Cry From Alejandro. Also, my dear Jose Maria Castano He conducts a wonderful interview in the Studio expoflamenco.
