This year, according to the president of the Cajasol Foundation, Antonio Pulido, “arrives with great new features and an exceptional lineup of double shows, the classic Thursdays Flamencos and the Flamenco ApartThis new cycle reinforces why we are the most important private identity logo in the flamenco in Spain".

With this new cycle, the foundation aims to "support artists throughout their careers, and this space is being given to them," Pulido affirmed, "for their latest and most innovative proposals." The long-established program, featuring renowned artists for 27 years, is now joined by "new talents."

In that regard, the teacher Manuela Carrasco, which will be the one to inaugurate Thursdays FlamencoOn May 25th, he thanked Cajasol for the support it provides to young people, a fact that has been evident throughout its history, because, as Antonio Pulido stated, “in the foundation what we seek for the flamenco It's tradition with innovation, but without ruptures, and that's our motto."

This also points to the creation of Cajasol Award, which the organization likes to call the Oscar of the Flamenco, in order to compare them with the never sufficiently considered Nobel Prizes of Flamenco, which formerly granted the Cruzcampo Foundation to the great masters of the era, and that Pulido intends for them to be the next autumn. Royal Shipyards those that will host the 2027 edition.

The president also thanked and congratulated the artist who created the poster for this year's event, the Sevillian painter. Juan Miguel Martín Mena, whom he has described as "a true specialist in presenting the most deeply rooted traditions of our land."

For his part, the author of the work has explained that it is made “using mixed media, with cotton paper glued to a board”, and that “it hides the essence and emotional charge of any performance of flamenco".

"With this programming, the Cajasol Foundation institution, as Antonio Pulido has pointed out, maintains a continued commitment to the dissemination of flamenco as a living art form and as a symbol of identity for Seville and Andalusia»

The artist has pointed out, in this regard, that the poster “focuses on gesture and passion, with hands as protagonists, and invites the viewer to delve into the work through vibrant red tones.”

The coordinator Manuel Lombo He pointed out, in this light, that one of the keys to the cycle is "to adhere as closely as possible to orthodoxy," while thanking the Cajasol Foundation for the effort made to double the activities this year.

The series opens on May 21st with a dance performance by Manuela Carrasco and will feature names such as José and Anabel Valencia al cante (May 27) or Diego del Morao to the guitar (June 25). They will be joined by the dance of Lucia the Pineapple (11 of June), Jesus Carmona (15 of October) and Manuela Carrasco Daughter (November 26).

The final stretch of this new cycle culminates in dance, as justified by the presence of Maria Moreno (7 of November) and Fernando Jiménez (day), as in the instrumental aspect, which sets the closing date for November 14, at the mercy of the piano and the voice of Andres Barrios.

With this programming, the Cajasol Foundation, as Antonio Pulido has pointed out, maintains a continued commitment to the dissemination of flamenco as a living art form and as a symbol of identity for Seville and Andalusia. ♦
