Juana is one of Jerez's most beloved and admired artists, always a fixture at the city's major events, and of course, with a career that has taken her to different countries around the world and with major companies such as those of Manuel Morao or his nephew Antonio the Pipe.
Last December, she suffered a serious hip fracture that kept her offstage for a few weeks, naturally hoping to recover with the scheduled rehabilitation. Unfortunately, she suffered a stroke at the end of January, which has worried all of us who love her (and there are many of us) and will keep her offstage for a long time. She had performances planned for the beginning of the year that she has had to cancel; one of them, and one of the most anticipated, was... The Angel's Lair, room in which Juana has starred in dreamlike nights with her cante and his dance, usually accompanied by the guitar of Diego del Morao, within this festival that coincides with the Jerez Festival.
