The Seville headquarters of Andalusian Institute of Flamenco The official presentation of the 37th edition of the event took place this Tuesday, May 26th. Art Festival Flamenco from Mont-de-Marsan, one of the major international events dedicated to art jondo, which is held from June 30 to July 4, 2026 in the French town.

The event was attended by the director of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, Christopher Ortega, the director of the French festival, Lionel Niedzwiecki, the Deputy for Culture of the Badajoz Provincial Council, Ricardo Cabezas, and the director of the Cristina Heeren Foundation, Mar Díaz Gameroas well as institutional representatives and professionals from the sector flamenco linked to this historic cultural event between Andalusia and France.

The new edition of the festival will revolve around the concept of "The Jondo", an artistic and cultural reflection on the essence, spirituality, and emotional depth of flamencoThe organizers emphasize that the festival maintains “its work of dignifying and reflecting on the ecosystem flamenco"and claims the flamenco , the “an artistic experience that transcends intellect and reason to reach the spiritual, the sensitive and the emotional”.

The program will bring together great figures of dance, the cante and the guitar alongside emerging artists and contemporary proposals. The opening will be hosted by the company of Manuel Linan with Call me Lorca, a show co-produced by the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco and conceived as a reinterpretation of the universe of Federico García Lorca.

"The organizers emphasize that the festival maintains its work of dignifying and reflecting on the ecosystem flamenco and claims the flamenco as an artistic experience that transcends intellect and reason to reach the spiritual, the sensitive, and the emotional."
