La Local Federation of PeñaFlamenco dancers from Jerez has unanimously decided to recognize Manuel de Gines with the Best Award Cante of Accompanying, for their outstanding presence in the show Blessed Land of the Ballet Flamenco Andalusia at the Villamarta Theatre, on the night of March 3, under the direction of Patricia guerreroThrough a public statement, the president of this federation, Jesús López, on behalf of the entire board of directors, wishes to congratulate Manuel on being elected in this 30th edition of the Jerez Festival with "a highly sought-after and prestigious award, which has always helped flamenco singers to reach a higher level." He also wants to give special mention to another important voice that participated this year, such as that of Juanito, who participated in the assembly of Bethlehem Lopez"It's difficult to make these decisions because sometimes the level is similar," he says.
Another award given by the Federation is the Revelation Award of the cycle of Peñas, which Jesús values as "successful, full of audiences and with a great commitment to all the peña"So that new figures can emerge on the stage." He adds that "this year has been even more special because of the unique and local gastronomic offerings in celebration of the capital city designation." The winner of this edition is Manuel de la Nina, a flamenco singer from Jerez who triumphed on February 28th at the Fernando Terremoto Flamenco Cultural Association, and who was accompanied by the guitar of Jesus Rodriguez and palmas de Markito Carpio y Angel Pirulo.
