The project AIEnRuta – Flamencos, of the Society of Performing Artists AIE, has selected the following artists for its 2024 cycle: cante, Rafa del Calli, Laura Marchal and Lucia Beltran; and at once, Álvaro Martinete, Marcos de Silvia and Manuel Cerpa.
AIEnRuta – Flamencos is a program organized by the Society of Performing Artists (AIE), the entity that manages the intellectual property rights of artists and performers, in collaboration with various universities.
The AIE Artists Society launched the AIEnRuta circuit in 2008 Flamencos to offer young talents of the cante and the performance of the artist has the opportunity to make their artistic handicap known in spaces that are unusual for the genre. Since then, the university environment has hosted around thirty concerts each year. An independent jury made up of specialist journalists and foundations selects five artists under the age of thirty each year. With the financial, production and dissemination support of AIE, the selected young performers offer live performances at universities in Madrid, Castilla y León and Castilla La Mancha, among other venues, from January to December. Rafa del Calli (cante)
Gypsy singer born in Córdoba on June 11, 1993, into one of the most influential families in the scene. flamenco with a long line of artists. Son of the singer José Antonio Plantón Moreno “El Calli”. He began his career at a very young age in the family tablao La Bulería, taking off a few years later, where he took his artistic alternative in the tribute to José El Pipa at the Teatro Góngora in Córdoba, sharing the bill with artists of the stature of El pele, Arcángel and El Calli, among others. He has participated in different festivals, theaters and peñas of great renown as The White Night of Flamenco of Cordoba, Jerez Festival, Biennial of the Flamenco Amsterdam, Nice Festival, Festival de lo Ferro, Festival de flamenco from Toulouse, etc. He has been part of numerous shows with artists such as Farruquito, El Pele, Dorantes Rafa and José del Calli, Jose Maya, Diego del Morao, Javier la Torre, la Moneta, Soleá Morente, Ana la Torre and el Perla, among many others. In 2021 he created his own show, gypsy dream, in memory of his father. He is currently a singer with the Ballet Flamenco Andalusian and in several tablaos.
Laura Marchal (cante)
Laura Marchal (1995), singer born in Alcalá la Real, Jaén. Her first steps as a professional singer cante flamenco They took place in Seville, a city where she lived for eight years and where she had great teachers, such as Manuel Vera Quincalla or Miguel Ortega. She studied the professional degree in music at the Cristóbal de Morales Professional Conservatory, and also graduated in Teaching at the University of Seville in the musical specialty. In 2018 she moved her residence to Barcelona, there she completed her higher studies in music at the Higher School of Music of Catalonia (ESMUC), specialized in flamencoSince then she has worked at this school as a professor of Cante Flamenco.
His recognitions in competitions are innumerable: the 1st Young Prize in the National Competition of Antonio Mairena (Seville 2017), 1st Prize in the National Competition of Cante de la Llagosta (Barcelona, 2018), 3rd Naranjito de Triana Prize, (Seville, 2020) or 1st Yunque Prize Flamenco (2022) She has collaborated on albums by admired colleagues such as Pablo Gómez Molina, Julio Marín or on Silvia Pérez Cruz's new album. Lucia Beltran (cante)
El flamenco gallops through her veins. Bohemian and a die-hard fan, she began singing at just eight years old. In Trigueros (Huelva), her hometown, she grew up surrounded by this wonderful world, listening to her father playing guitar and her grandfather playing guitar. canteThis passion that comes from birth, a voice with its own signature and a unique moan, make Lucía one of the most promising figures on the scene. flamenco current. From a very young age, she began to participate in the fandango competitions in her province, obtaining many first prizes. From then on, she began to enter the world of flamenco, acting in the peñaflamenco dancers from almost the entire Andalusian coast.

Alvaro Martinete (guitar)
Álvaro Martinete was born in 1995 in the same Vega where Federico García Lorca grew up. At the age of six he received his first lessons from the maestro Rafael Soler, and continued to train with guitarists such as Alberto Fernández and Jorge Gómez. At just eight years old he attended a guitar course given by Manolo Sanlúcar in Córdoba. In 2016 he completed his studies at the conservatory, obtaining a professional degree in flamenco guitar. Numerous awards (including the Bordón Minero) accompanied his debut in recitals of peñaand festivals. At the age of 14 he put together a two-guitar show with his teacher Ochando entitled between generations which premiered in the Aula Magna of the University of Granada. Other premieres followed in subsequent years.
This prolific career leads to the recording of his first album, entitled Six paths, a work that is dedicated exclusively to the guitar. It will be presented in May 2018 at the Alhambra theater in Granada and, later, at the XIX edition of the Seville Biennial and at the Tablao Casa Patas in Madrid. The album is produced by the great master of flamenco guitar Gerardo Núñez, who invites Álvaro, along with the maestro Rafael Riqueni, to the XXVIII edition of the guitar course that he organizes in Sanlúcar de Barrameda. Silvia Marks (guitar)
At 17 years old, guitarist Marcos de Silvia is one of the pearls of the future of flamenco, which he began at just eight years old under the guidance of Professor Eusebio López. He is currently continuing his studies on a scholarship from the Cristina Heeren Flamenco Foundation. His training work has extended to the masterclasses received between 2017 and 2022 from teachers such as Gerardo Núñez, Diego del Morao, Antonio Rey, Rafael Riqueni, Moisés Sánchez and Iván Cebrián. In 2018 he performed in the tribute concert to maestro José Luis Balao at the Alcázar de Jerez, accompanied by José Ignacio Franco, María and Tomasa Peña.
In 2021 he participated in the V Granada International Guitar Festival, with a concert at the Corrala de Santiago, and again in the International Guitar Festival Flamenco for children Kriatura in Denmark and in Jerez de la Frontera. Recently, she has performed at the XXVI Festival de Jerez, Flamencas de Jerez, in the peña Camarón de la Isla and at the 2022 Horse Fair. That same year he participated in the XXX Tribute to Camarón in Venta de Vargas de San Fernando and wins the Talent Contest Flamenco of Accompanying Guitar to the cante and dance at the Cristina Heeren Foundation in Seville.
Manuel Cerpa (guitar)
Manuel Jesús Cerpa González, born in Chipiona (Cádiz) on March 26, 2003, began his guitar playing career at the age of ten with Juan Gómez in his hometown. It was in Jerez where he forged and consolidated his skills at the academy of Manuel Lozano "El Carbonero". At the age of 16 he won the 1st Javier Molina Flamenco Guitar Prize in Jerez de la Frontera. At the same age José Mercé began to count on him as a guitarist on his tour. Between the paths, and today, continues with him as lead guitarist on the tour Oripando. In 2021, she participated in the Movistar+ recording of the film Lola Flores alongside Rosario Flores, Lolita Flores, Enrique Pantoja, Tomasito… She has her first album, The seventh string, with his own compositions and with great collaborations such as José Mercé, Jesús Reina, Chicharito de Jerez…
He is currently studying Flamenco Guitar at the Rafael Orozco Conservatory in Córdoba. He has worked in the best theatres and festivals in Spain as a soloist and accompanist: Teatro Real, Palau de la Música, Starlite in Marbella, II Festival of Flamenco Guitar in Jerez, the Maestranza, El Baluarte, Flamenco On Fire in Pamplona, the Zarzuela Hippodrome, Bajo Guía Nights, the New Alcalá Theatre, the Complutense University of Madrid, the Osborne Winery, the Riberas del Guadaira Auditorium… He has accompanied and continues to accompany young talents and figures such as José Mercé, Antonio Canales, José De La Tomasa, Perrito de Paterna, Manuel De La Tomasa, Kiko Peña, Sore Muscles, Sara Sanchez, Samu del Puerto, Esperanza Fernandez, David Fernandez, Maria Terremoto, Genara Cortes, The Chanquita, The Bronze Gypsy…
