The premises of the Puerto de Cuba La Raza Group The Muelle de las Delicias (Seville) will host two cycles –of flamenco and jazz– every Tuesday from October 14 to December 2. Under the name of Cafe Singer will bring together renowned artists every day at eight in the evening in an intimate and close atmosphere in the privileged setting offered by this most stately bank of the Guadalquivir River, which will serve as the backdrop for the proposal. It will be in Port of Cuba-Café del Río, a charming and strategically well-located establishment, with parking next door and which, on a private initiative, coordinated by Manuel Macias and with the group's director, Pablo Castilla, at the forefront, will bet on veteran and youth in a handful of shows, some of them with high-level sponsorship or sponsorships, as will be the case of the recital that kicks off on Tuesday, October 14, where we will be able to enjoy the cante de Dew Moon with Archangel, with whom he will perform cantes together apart from their solo repertoire, supported by the sonanta of Francis Gomez. They will do the same the following Tuesday, October 21, the young singer David Fernández with the guitar of Juan Anguita y Hope Fernandez as a special guest. On the 28th it will be the turn of Rafael de Utrera to Pepe Fernandez on the strings. And the first cycle will culminate on Tuesday, November 4th, with the Jerez native's lament. At the presentation table, which took place on Thursday, October 9th at the same venue, Pablo Castilla, Manuel Macías, Fernando Clemente, the prestigious artist who designed the poster, and the delegate of the Andalusian Government in Seville Ricardo Sanchez. Macías pointed out in his speech that with this "we recover the spirit of the famous cafés cantantes that popularized the genre and served as inspiration for what we know today as tablaos. In Puerto de Cuba Café del Río opens a window to flamenco, something that is admirable." Ricardo stated that "when I saw that Manuel Macías was coordinating the project and the cast of artists participating, I didn't want to miss it (...). It is very meritorious that the private sector is committed to promoting the flamenco". Fernando noted that "as a fan of flamenco and jazz, and since painting is my life, it was very easy for me to make this poster. Since they are arts with a lot in common, there is a certain spirit in all three. The poster reflects the wind, the shapes of a guitar, and the baroque and Velazquez-like colors that recall ancient painting with a touch of more modern graphics. Puerto de Cuba La Raza Group He expressed that "I've had this project in mind for a while, and it's an honor for us to have this series, a source of pride. We have an impressive lineup and a great cast of artists, and this intimate format gives it uniqueness and a very special touch."

The second part of the cycle will show different formats and textures with nods to jazz, soul and other genres that dialogue perfectly with the flamenco between November 11 and December 2. Musicians such as canito with his latest work The next Bulería, which arrives with a formation of six musicians, Diego Villegas with its winds from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, which will present its recent album, Caracafé and its purely sounds flamencos of the Three Thousand Homes, which he developed in formations such as Pata Negra, or the avant-garde and at the same time flamenco Rycardo Moreno from Lebrija will thrill us with their creative and interpretive talent in a unique space that is sure to inspire the artists, many of whom attended the press conference that ended with an exquisite house-brand aperitif.
Tickets for each of the recitals cost 20 euros and can be purchased through the El Corte Inglés sales platform, elcorteingles.es/tickets. All concerts will begin at 20:00 p.m., although the doors of the Puerto de Cuba Café del Río will be open from 18:30 p.m. for drinks, as well as during the intermission and at the end of the performance.
