Puente Genil unveils a bust in homage to flamenco singer Juan Hierro

After Fosforito, Juan Hierro is considered the most influential flamenco singer born in the Cordoba town, especially remembered for his artistic personality and his contribution to the musical heritage of Puente Genil.

On Saturday, November 29th, at 12 noon in Puente-Genil (Córdoba), a bust in memory of [name missing] will be officially unveiled. Juan Hierro, one of the most important figures of flamenco Puente Genil. After PhosphoriteJuan Hierro is considered the most influential flamenco singer born in the town, especially remembered for his artistic personality and his contribution to the musical heritage of Puente Genil.

The initiative has been promoted by the Friends of Puente Genil Association, with the collaboration of individuals, associations and institutions that have contributed altruistically to make this sculptural work possible, conceived as a collective tribute.

The event will be attended by the artist's family, institutional representatives, fans, and various personalities associated with the flamencoThe sculptor will also participate. José María Serrano, who will explain the creative process and the symbolic meaning of the work.

With this gesture, Puente-Genil reinforces its commitment to the preservation and dissemination of its flamenco heritageThis comes at a particularly significant time following the recent passing of the maestro Fosforito, whom the town keeps alive in its heartfelt emotions and memories. The unveiling of Juan Hierro's bust thus adds to a period of reflection and pride in the town's flamenco roots.
