It's been 30 years since this magnificent work by the Jaén-born teacher and singer was released. A double compact disc that systematized practically all the great contributions of women in the genre. canteFurthermore, it highlights the most important female milestones in flamenco expression and was released by the Mercury label in 1996. When we created this space, the silver anniversary of a truly iconic work in contemporary discography was being celebrated. flamencoA compendium of the main contributions, on a double compact disc, that history owes to feminine universe of canteIt was released in 1996 by the Mercury label (Polygram). During this time, the work has continued to grow in importance.

Carmen LinaresThe lead actress has given an exclusive interview to Expoflamenco to elaborate on the details of the anthology. On such a significant anniversary, the perspective of the years offers us a broad view of that recording which retains certain nuances of vindication of the role of women in the cante flamenco.

A double album that featured a rich mosaic of guitarists in the accompaniment, such as Perico el del Lunar, Juan and Pepe Habichuela, Enrique de Melchor, Paco Cepero, Moraíto, Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, José Antonio Rodríguez, Paco and Miguel Ángel Cortés, Manolo Franco or Rafael Riqueni. There is nothing.

Along with Carmen Linares' words, we heard some excerpts from the work Anthology, the woman in the cante (Polygram Mercury, 1996). Initially, the mining taranta of the Girl from Linares to continue with some notes on the soleá of the Serneta and the tangos of the Girl of the Combs to close.
