His work as an orderly in a Madrid hospital forged a close friendship with Antonio Mairena; the maestro would stay at his house in Vallecas-Entrevías when he went for his cardiology checkups. He published a book about these experiences entitled 'My memories with Antonio Mairena, 50 years of light and magic', which was accompanied by a record of home recordings in which Muñoz accompanied Mairena. In Jerez, he provided some glorious moments playing for the flamenco singer Manuel Moneo Lara, whom I now share again with the whole family of expoflamencos.
