Condolences for the passing of Almudena Molinares, widow of El Torta

Almudena's last thoughts were directed to her son Juanito, whom she named as her heir to the task of always keeping the flame of his father, Juan, alive. Moneo.

Almost twelve years after the farewell to the brilliant singer of the Plazuela de Jerez, his companion is now part of a shared memory. Because Almudena Molinares He was the one who, in all these years, guarded and defended the legacy of Juan Moneo 'The Cake' to keep it very much alive among its thousands of followers around the world.

It was she who, with tenacity and courage, managed to organize two large tributes in memory of Juan. The last was a massive gathering in Sanlúcar de Barrameda, where the couple lived for a long time. It was to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the singer's farewell.

Almudena's last thoughts were directed to her son. Juanito, whom he named as his heir to the task of keeping his father Juan's flame alive. And, of course, his other daughter, Axel.

She was a great friend of ours Studio expoflamencoNot in vain, he came to our Jerez headquarters on several occasions to present projects and activities related to his memory. We regret that he was unable to overcome some health problems that arose at the last minute and that ultimately proved fatal.
