New impetus to flamenco in La Mancha with the 5th National Art Festival Flamenco from Torrenueva

On August 2, the Plaza de España will host an evening with Caracolillo de Cádiz, Remedios Reyes Montoya, Francisco Javier Heredia and guitarists such as Julio Romero and Jesús Peñaiver.

Torrenueva (Ciudad Real, Castilla La Mancha) celebrates a new edition of its National Art Festival Flamenco, an already established event on Ciudad Real's cultural calendar. The event—now in its fifth year—was officially launched as part of the city's 18th Cultural Week, with the presence of authorities and representatives from around the world. flamenco and a large audience of fans.

This year three prominent names will take to the stage at the Plaza de España cante and the dance: Cadiz Snail, Remedios Reyes Montoya and Francisco Javier Heredia. They will be there immediately July Romero y Jesus Peñaup, guitarists with a renowned career who complete the artistic cast.

The organization is in charge of the Flamenco Cultural Association El Jabalón, a promoter of the festival since its inception. Her work has been fundamental in consolidating the flamenco as a cultural expression of reference in the municipality and in a good part of the province.

During the presentation ceremony, the public was able to enjoy a performance by the group flamenco New Sap, made up of young artists from Castilla-La Mancha, with experience on national and international stages. This group is also the only one from the region to have performed as the opening act for the singer. Miguel Poveda.

Mayor Raul Bravo highlighted the institutional commitment to the flamenco and thanked the collaboration of entities such as the Globalcaja Foundation, which supports the festival as part of its support for the cultural development of the territory.

Tickets for the show are now on sale, priced at €8 in advance and €10 at the box office.
