Dancer Mercedes de Córdoba once again shook consciences with her work "Olvidadas (a Las Sinsombrero)" at the Itálica Dance Festival, bringing together a large audience that enthusiastically applauded her performance.

This is gluttony. I've seen the show a few times. It touched my heartstrings the last time. biennial of Flamenco of Sevilla and I told you about it here, expoflamenco. It is no longer the singular story of The Sinombrero, but the pain of Mercedes of Cordoba Reliving it "as if I had been inside each one of them" is what draws me back to his feet. And even though I fall heavily, I had something to say.

I still find the gasps of asphyxiation from the magnificent dance corps formed by Alejandra I believe, Marta Cañizares y Polina Sofia. Polina's guajira is tremendous, unleashed and free! And the more I know her and see her dance, the more "beautifully crazy" Mercedes seems to me, the one who "when she puts her hand to a subject, genius splashes forth", the one who "snaps her fingers in her head and the dance overflows", the one who lets her brain be probed by the sublime guitar of exquisite sensitivity of John Campallo and that dances to the unmistakable beat of The Oruco, the magnificent percussion of Paquito Vega, the ancestral voice of bronzed metals of Jonathan Reyes and on this occasion the honey of broken glass The Mati replacing Jesus CorbachoThe gravity of the double bass Gal Master, in a state of grace and with extreme delicacy, rounded out a cast of category that repeatedly shook the consciences of an audience that enthusiastically applauded the proposal.

"And the more I know her and see her dance, the more beautifully crazy Mercedes seems to me, the one who, when she puts her hand to a task, bursts forth with genius, the one who snaps her fingers in her head and is overcome with dance."

Your manager and CEO Juan Alfonso Romero -Ifi Jerez– has put Mercedes on a pedestal to shine. And she continues to shine and reap success by performance. I was debating whether or not to write a review, to rehash the first one with the one where I said that "defeated Villamarta de Jerez", if you send them to listen to the interview what we did for our portal or keep quiet. But I'd rather tell you about it with some images and I'm sure you'll be kind enough to read the links because Forgotten not only leaves anyone speechless, but even breathless. And although a few days have passed since the beating this woman gives me every time she gets on stage, I think it's only fair that this occasion not be forgotten, when without a black box to shelter the energies being handled, Mercedes threw her concerns and her bleeding wounds into the air of the Roman Theatre in the Italica Dance Festival.

Below are a few photos I swiped as best I could, along with some video clips. And here are two reviews in case pictures aren't worth a thousand words. I don't think I wrote them, but I encourage you to reread them because even a glimpse of what this flamenco dancer evokes will leave no one indifferent:

Mercedes from Córdoba defeats Villamarta from Jerez with 'Olvidadas' , at the 2025 Jerez Festival.

And here is my humble graphic testimony:
