The city of Huelva will once again become the epicenter of flamenco June with the celebration of the eleventh edition of Festival Flamenco 'City of Huelva', an already established event on the national calendar that focuses on artistic quality, the defense of roots and the promotion of new talents.
During the official presentation held on the morning of Thursday, April 30th in the courtyard of the City Hall, the mayor of Huelva, Pilar MirandaHe emphasized the strategic importance of this event for the city, highlighting that “Huelva is a City of Flamenco And this festival is a clear demonstration of our commitment to this art, to our traditions, and to our way of understanding life.” In this regard, he insisted that “the flamenco "It is art, it is identity and it is shared emotion," emphasizing both the great artists and those who work from the ground up to guarantee its future.

Tradition and innovation
The eleventh edition of the Festival Flamenco 'Ciudad de Huelva' presents a high-level program that combines tradition and innovation, with a special focus on the fandango, a hallmark of the province. Among the big names featured are Mayte Martín, who will receive the Paco Toronjo Award for Legends of Flamenco, in a recognition that unites the legacy of the legendary singer from Huelva with one of the most influential voices of flamenco contemporary.
The festival will once again take place in emblematic venues such as the Gran Teatro, the Barrio Obrero, the Casa Colón, and the City Hall itself, focusing on an accessible and engaging program for the public. In this sense, the Dreamcatcher Festival will once again become one of the fundamental pillars of the programming, leading the flamenco in the heart of the Barrio Obrero, an enclave declared a Site of Cultural Interest, with top-level performances in a unique and community-oriented environment.
Furthermore, the festival reinforces its educational dimension with school workshops promoted by the La Cavaera Cultural Association, aimed at bringing the flamenco to children and young people through practical, participatory experiences adapted to each age group. This is complemented by the National Youth Fandango Competition of the Peña Flamenca of The Order, a key event to discover new voices and ensure the continuity of this palo so representative of Huelva.
Huelva City Program
The program kicks off on June 1st with educational workshops for schools at the Casa Colón, which will run for several days with activities aimed at different age groups. On June 2nd, the Gran Teatro will host the national competition of Young Fandango, dedicated to young performers from all over the country.
On June 3, the same stage will be the star of one of the festival's great nights with the show The Fandango from A to Z, Jeromo Segura, accompanied by prominent guest artists, along with a performance by the flamenco dancer Pastora Galvan and the singer Jose Valencia.
On June 4th, the Gran Teatro will host the guitarist's performances. Manuel de la Luz and Mayte Martín, in an evening that will culminate with the presentation of the Paco Toronjo Award to Legends of Flamenco.
On June 5th and 6th, the Barrio Obrero will be the stage for the Quitasueños Festival, with performances by artists such as Turry, Esperanza Fernández, Gaspar de Holanda, Ángeles Toledano, José Maya y Josemi Carmona, in a proposal that combines tradition and new trends in a unique heritage environment.
Finally, on June 13, the City Hall Courtyard will host the show tablao Arcángel, with two intimate performances that recreate the essence of traditional flamenco venues, accompanied by a cast mostly from Huelva.
