This year's competition continues to have no age limit. However, a special prize remains for young people under 25. This prize does not preclude them from competing for any of the other prizes.
As for the rest of the prizes, in addition to the general competition in the category of cante A prize is established in the dance category. The total prize money amounts to 5.000 euros. Before the qualifying phase, the jury will make a preliminary selection of participants in the category of cante and dance. Participants must send a video performing a palo en cante and dance.
The qualifying rounds are scheduled to begin on February 27 and end on March 21. The final date has not yet been set. However, the organizers reserve the right to make any changes to the competition schedule.
The contestants must perform in the modality of cante un palo of each of the following groups. Group A: Toná, Martinete, Debla, Nana, Cante of Trilla, Cabales, Seguiriya, Liviana, Serrana, Romance, Polo and Caña. Group B: Soleá, Tientos, Garrotín, Farruca, Mariana, Milonga, Colombiana, Vidalita and Guajira, Malagueña, Rondeña, Granaína, Media Granaína, Fandangos, Petenera, Zambra, Bambera and Cantes of Levante.
