Morón de la Frontera will host some events between March 13 and 28, 2026 Conference on Antonio Mairena, a cultural initiative that combines urban exhibitions, lectures and recitals flamencoto delve deeper into the figure of one of the great figures of cante jondoThe activities will take place in the Upper levels of the Plaza de Abastos and in the Flamenco Gathering El Gallo, two emblematic spaces in the Sevillian town linked to the dissemination and defense of flamenco.
The program proposes a journey through artistic heritage and thought. flamenco de Antonio Mairena, a key figure in the revaluation of cante traditional during the 20th century. Through specialized lectures and live performances, the event invites the public to rediscover the depth of its legacy and its influence on subsequent generations of artists. The initiative also seeks to reinforce Morón's role as a key location for reflection, dissemination, and the experience of the flamenco more orthodox.
All activities are free of charge and organized in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Flamenco from the Morón City Council.
