The contest has already begun LXIV International Festival of Cante of the MinesOn the night of Wednesday the 6th, the first of the three scheduled semi-finals was held, to begin to discover the talent on the stage of the Cathedral of Cante and the possible contenders for the meeting's top awards flamenco.
This first meeting began with the candidates in the instrumentalist category. flamenco: Lorenzo Moya (Ciudad Real), who played minera and bulerías with his piano, and Ostalinda Suarez (Badajoz), who played Cartagena taranta and flamenco flautasía with his flute.
In the category of cante, competed Raquel Salas (Huelva), with minera and granaína; Ivan Chaskio (Alicante), with minera, cartagenera, seguiriya and alegrías; Andreles Amador (Almería), with fandangos and seguiriya; and Rose Campos (Málaga), with levantica and malagueña.
The touch was in charge of Samuel de Encarni (Cádiz), with minera and guajira. And the dance, by Ophelia Marquez (Cádiz), with taranto and caña.
Second semi-final
In the second semi-final of the competition Cante from the Mines will participate José Carlos Hanza Fernández (Almería) with his piano playing taranta and soleá playing bulerías, and Raúl Herrera Moreno (Madrid) with the cello with taranto and soleá por bulerías, in the instrumentalist category.
The flamenco guitar will be the star Mercedes Lujan (Murcia) with taranta and bulería, and the dance of the Cadiz native Jose Vinas with taranto and seguiriya.
El cante will be borne by Francisco Heredia (Jaén) with minera, taranta, granaína and soleá; Anabel de Vico (Seville) with minera, murciana, granaína and seguiriya; Gregory Moya (Ciudad Real) with Minera, Cartagena, Malaga and Mariana; and Lidia Rodríguez (Seville) with malagueña and abandolao.
