At noon on Thursday, May 15, a unique exhibition entitled "Flamenco Women Yesterday, Today, and Always" was officially inaugurated. The event featured its authors and students who are part of Flamenkolé. A project of flamenco Intercenter between the urban and rural areas of Jerez de la Frontera where the CEIPs Isabel La Católica, La Paz and Ina participate.

That such a work has been carried out with such rigor and dedication by the students themselves, within the teaching activities in their respective classrooms, deserves warm congratulations to those who made it possible. From the teaching staff to the students who have created some Prints with different flamenco artists from yesterday and today . Engravings are embellished with biographical information about the artists, including QR codes. A variety of techniques and materials were used, inspired by painters such as Romero Britto, Yayoi Kusama, and Piet Mondrian.

The event was attended by the students, teachers Blanca Crespo and Cándido Núñez representing the schools associated with the Flamenkolé project. Closing the event, the Education delegate of the Jerez City Council, Jose Angel Aparicio, who highlighted and congratulated the students' work in directly promoting our most distinctive culture, as well as shedding light on flamenco women from a gender perspective. She was accompanied by the city council delegate, Rocío Montero, Director of Education, and guitarist Davinia Ballesteros, representing all the artists featured in the exhibitions.

For our part, we are very happy to host this exhibition at our headquarters, especially because teachers and students have chosen our space for this purpose, reinforcing our year-round commitment to schools. We can only say thank you and congratulations for the work, and thank our colleagues Yuri, Borja, and Nano for their support. We would also like to extend our thanks to our colleague Gonzalo López, who offered us his art months ago with the Caras y Cruz exhibition. Cante

The exhibition is now open to visitors at Espacio expoflamenco in the Los Ramos building on Diego Fernández Herrera street s/n during business hours from Monday to Saturday (mornings) until June 20.
