El National Art Competition Flamenco (CNAF) expands its program of parallel activities with a show aimed at families on the street, a colloquium in the Potro Inn starring great voices from the city's flamenco history and three screenings in the Film Library of Andalusia, in collaboration with the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions of the Junta de Andalucía.
The first of the new events included in the XXIV CNAF program is on November 8 at 12 noon on the Boulevard de Great captainwith the show The goatA street theatre proposal from the Andalusian company The Black Mirror Aimed at family audiences. With this show, the IMAE continues its initiative to bring the major events it promotes closer to children, as it did at the last Guitar Festival.
From the Municipal Institute of Performing Arts (IMAE) the day has been organized Let's talk about the Córdoba National Stadium. Past, present, and future., consisting of a discussion with several personalities of the flamenco and a flamenco performance, which takes place in the Centro Flamenco Phosphorite the November 14.
The colloquium Memory and future of the CNAF It will be an open space for dialogue in which, through the experience of several personalities of the flamenco, there will be a reflection on what the Competition has meant for their careers and for the flamenco in general. The participants will be the singers Julian Estrada, winner of the 15th edition of the Contest, Rafael Montilla 'Chaparro' y Louis of Cordoba, and the doctor in Musicology Alicia GonzálezThe meeting will be moderated by Guillermo Castro Buendia, PhD in Art History and Professor of Flamencology at the Higher Conservatory of Córdoba.
The flamenco performance, Córdoba in its purest form, will be performed by the singer carmen carmona, winner of the prestigious Golden Melon Award in the 2025 Edition, and Seve child, guitarist and National Guitar Award winner in the 20th edition.

On the other hand, the XXIV edition of the Contest has been joined by the collaboration with the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions of the Andalusian Government through the Film Library of AndalusiaThis space will screen three national feature films showcasing historical artists and their contributions to this genre.
The first film in this cycle will be Richeni, Francisco Bech, which depicts the chance encounter between the two and their attempt to secure Riqueni's final return. It will be shown on November 18.
A day later, on November 19, it will be the turn of the film Fandango, directed by Remedios Malvarez y Arturo Andujar, which received the Audience Award at the Córdoba Film Week and won two Carmen Awards from the Andalusian Academy, for Best Documentary and Best Original Song. The latter went to Rocio Marquez, a singer who will be present in the National Competition program with the musical project Vertical anthem.
The documentary Fernanda and Bernarda of the director Rocio Martin It will be screened on November 20 and covers the life and work of these inseparable sisters who were two of the greatest singers, representatives of the cante more gypsy jondo.
These new activities are added to the cultural agenda for the month of November with the aim of offering the public fans of the flamenco A space to listen to renowned artists of this centuries-old art form, as well as watch national feature films that bring this genre and the stories of some of its most famous characters closer to home.
