A group of young fans from Jerez felt the need to produce an album for the veteran singer José Peña 'el Morito'. Among other reasons because the protagonist has a form of expression far removed from the so-called commercial circuits; also to perpetuate his cante as a sound testimony because he is almost 80 years old.
With the title of 'Cante's from my land', the album was presented a few days ago at the Peña The Bulería de Jerez was created under the auspices of a group of young people who today are grouped under the umbrella of the flamenco cultural association 'Las Cadenas'. Both on the album and in the staging he was accompanied by the guitarist Domingo Rubichi.
Precisely, Jose Peña 'el Morito' came to visit us with the president of the Cadenas, Daniel Loma. Together they told us the details of this work full of truth and commitment to the singing tradition. Morito even gave us a touch of siguiriya for the entire family of expoflamencos of the world.
