This new album by José Galán García, known artistically as José de los Camarones, is an insight into the spirituality of its protagonist. Therefore, the choice of a verse by Saint Teresa of Jesus as the title is not, in any way, gratuitous. Thanks to the production of Josema García Pelayo and the electric guitar foundations of Jorge Gómez, the work possesses an original blend of cante flamenco Rooted in mystical poetry, along with an atmosphere of progressive rock and psychedelia. The singer's maturity comes with an immense desire to surprise and contribute new stylistic horizons. Always respecting the most ancient forms of cante, those that he apprehended between Hoyanca and the Balneario of the old beaches of San Telmo de Jerez.
From the album "Aventuremos la vida" (Gong Series, 2025), I selected the malagueña del Mellizo with an old petenera, featuring the sisters of Santa Rita and María del Tango, which collectively defines the entire work. Beforehand, and as a welcome aural accompaniment, we hear the praviana "Para nada." To close, we hear the siguiriya "Cierra los ojos" and the Tangos of the Reborn.
