La Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Andalusian Government, through the Andalusian Agency of Cultural Institutions, has opened the call for incentives aimed at the professional sector of flamenco in Andalusia for the 2026 fiscal year, published on January 2nd in the Official Gazette of the Regional Government of Andalusia (BOJA No. 1 and extract in No. 2, of January 2nd, 2026). Intended to support the production and creation of new shows of flamenco in their expressions of cante, touch and dance, this line features a budget of 210.000 euros.
In this way, the aim is to strengthen the professional artistic activity of the arts jondo, one of the greatest exponents of Andalusian cultural heritage. Furthermore, this call for proposals is, in addition to being a tool for economic support, a key instrument in the implementation of public policies regarding flamenco, aligned with the principles of planning, quality, equal opportunities and sustainability of the Law of the Flamenco.
Individuals or private legal entities engaged in the production of shows may apply for the aid. flamencos in its various forms. When the applicant is a private legal entity, its corporate purpose must include the creation, production, and marketing of shows. flamenco and if he were a natural person he must be professionally dedicated to the production, creation and marketing of shows flamencoAssociations and other non-profit entities are not eligible for these grants. Subsidized activities must begin in 2026 and end within the following year (2027).

Applications will be evaluated according to artistic and technical criteria, such as the cultural and artistic merit of the project, the artistic merit of the artistic and creative team's track record, the suitability of the budget for the activity covered by the grant, and, finally, the assessment of the company's potential for continuity and future growth. The call for proposals also establishes a series of quantitative evaluation criteria, including the artistic project itself, funding and contracts, the lead artist's professional trajectory, and the project's commitment to gender equality.
The grants will be awarded on a competitive basis, in accordance with the regulations approved by Order of March 24, 2017, promoting the principles of publicity, transparency, equality, and non-discrimination. Submitted projects may receive a maximum grant of €50.000, with a limit of 75 percent of eligible expenses.
