A teacher of our guest, from his hometown of Lorca (Murcia), convinced him to come to Jerez to learn more about the secrets of rhythm and the air of the earth for his guitar training. A young apprentice of the six strings, then called José Pascual Ruiz, agreed to stay a few days that became years and a lifetime. Here he connected with a universe jondo unparalleled and took classes with Carbonero and Balao to launch himself on stage with the company of Manuel Morao and other artists. He became a great guitarist and a person much loved by the entire artistic community.
Unfortunately, an unexpected injury prevents him from continuing on stage. That is why a group of artists and colleagues, sponsored by David Lagos and the Peña Flamenca The Trilla de Trebujena, together with the Town Hall of the town, will pay a loving tribute to him on the 17th of November. Pascual de Lorca, together with his friend José Manuel Fernández Bustillos from the Trebujena entity and his student, came to our headquarters to tell us all the details of this endearing event. In passing, we took advantage of the visit of our friends to present the cycle. Flamenco and Must 2024.
