The exhibition was created by students participating in the "Flamenkolé" project at the Isabel la Católica, La Paz, and La Ina schools. It is the result of several months of work to promote flamenco culture in the classroom and for students to become familiar with and study the great figures of the art. flamenco. The official opening of the exhibition 'Flamenco Women Yesterday, Today and Always' will take place at the Espacio expoflamenco (Los Ramos Building on Diego Fernández Herrera Street, s/n, Jerez) on May 15th at 12:00 noon, with a presentation by José María Castaño.
Contents of the exhibition:
The materials for this exhibition were created in schools using a variety of techniques and materials. Students drew inspiration for their creations from painters such as Romero Britto, Yayoi Kusama, and Piet Mondrian.
Likewise, each painting created by children between the ages of 6 and 15 is accompanied by a QR code that displays a short biography of the women featured in the illustrations, also created by the students.
