Registration and Rules. Competition Cante of the Mines

Registration is now open for the following categories: cante, guitar, dance and instrumentalist flamenco, at the 65th International Festival of Cante of the Mines.
The Foundation Cante The Mines Association opens the registration period for the competitions of cante, guitar, dance and instrumentalist flamenco, corresponding to the 65th edition of the Festival, which will be held from July 29 to August 8, 2026. The registration period will end on June 1, except for registrations for the instrumentalist competition flamenco, the deadline for which is July 1st. The competitions will be held on August 5, 6, 7 and 8, 2026.

65th Contest of Cante Flamenco
Since 1961, our festival has launched the careers of great voices who have won the prestigious "Lámpara Minera" trophy. From Antonio Piñana, Pencho Cros, and Encarnación Fernández, to leading figures in the flamenco current ones like Miguel Poveda, Mayte Martín or Rocío Márquez.
XLVI Flamenco Guitar Competition
The prestigious "Bordón Minero" trophy is awarded each year to the best guitarist flamenco of our Festival. Since then, great figures of the six strings such as Vicente Amigo or Juan Habichuela 'Nieto' have graced the stage of the 'Cathedral of Cante' of La Unión.
XXXII Dance Competition Flamenco
The most visual discipline in our competitions, now in two modalities. Two forms of artistic expression have a place in the dance competition. flamencowhere contestants can compete for the "Desplante" award in its male and female categories.
XVIII Instrumentalist Competition Flamenco
El flamenco It can be expressed in different ways, and each year we award prizes for performances with other percussion, wind, string, electronic instruments, etc. The "Filón" prize is the highest award for instrumentalists. flamencoYes, it makes our contests different.
