Carmen Talegona, dance
Carmen Talegona (Córdoba, 1976) belongs to a renowned flamenco family and is today one of the most accomplished dancers of her generation. She has developed an extensive career as a soloist and guest artist with leading flamenco companies. flamenco, working alongside figures such as Manolete, El Güito, Cristóbal Reyes, Antonio Canales, Rafael Amargo, Juan Andrés Maya or Blanca del Rey.
Throughout his career he has participated in numerous stage projects in Spain and abroad, including Pure passion, Princesses of Flamenco, Maya or Flamenco Dancers, The New Time, as well as in Seville in rhythm by Antonio Canales. At the same time, he has created his own shows such as Talegoneando, Gesture Flamenco, Ground Gold or Memory, combining her artistic activity with teaching.
Luis Mariano, guitar
Luis Mariano Renedo de Lucas (Granada) is a guitarist flamenco with a long and distinguished career, recognized for his musicality, technical precision, and ability to engage in dialogue with the cante and the dance accompanied by a deeply expressive guitar. He trained with Granada masters such as Pepe The Sailor y Gazpachoand began his professional career in the Tablao Reina Mora. She has accompanied figures such as Mariquilla, Estrella Morente, Farruquito, Diego El CigalaManuel Liñán and Juan Andrés Maya, and has performed on prestigious stages such as New York City Center, the Damascus Opera House, and the National Theatre of Tehran. As a composer, he has created the music for shows such as Taurus y A world apart by Manuel Liñán or Fire and Sand by Tatiana Garrido. It has won an award at the Jumilla National Guitar Competition.
The Biennial Flamenco MadridCreated in 2025 by the city council of the capital and under the artistic direction of the dancer and choreographer Ángel Rojas, it was born as a major institutional commitment to consolidate Madrid as a world capital of art jondoIn its first edition, held during the month of May in venues such as Matadero, Teatros del Canal, Teatro Español, and the Paco Rabal and Pilar Miró centers, it brought together prestigious figures such as Farru, Marco Flores, Eduardo Guerrero, Vanesa Coloma, and Sara Calero. Its program was complemented by workshops, congresses, conferences, and masterclasses, establishing the Biennial as a new international benchmark for [the event/the festival ... flamenco.
