Terms and Conditions of the Call for Proposals

1. Recipients: This residency program is aimed at Spanish creators from flamenco in all its scenic expressions.

2. Types of residences and duration:

• Creative Residencies for a period of up to 21 days. These residencies will take place at the BenAmar space. The residencies can be divided into different periods and extended throughout the year.
• Technical Residences for a period of up to 6 days. These will take place at the Villa de Torrox Theatre.

3. Content of the residence:

Technical ResidenceThe performance will take place at the Villa de Torrox Municipal Theatre. Companies will adapt their technical requirements to the theatre's existing equipment for up to 6 days. The theatre's technical specifications are attached and can be downloaded by clicking here. here.

• Accommodations in a rural house, with capacity for up to 20 people in shared rooms.
• Artistic accompaniment.
• Production support.
• Promotion and visibility of the proposal through digital and communication channels of Flamenco Festival e In Progress
• Scholarship to support the development of technical residency with preview, which will be agreed with the company based on the number of days of the residency and the number of participating artists and technicians.

4. Calendar:

• Proposal submission period: From September 1, 2025 to April 1, 2026. There will be two resolutions,1st. December 2025, which will include the proposals for the first half of 2026 (January – June) 2nd. May 2026, which will determine those selected for the second half (September-December).
• The residencies can be divided into different periods and extend throughout the year, except for July and August, months in which there will be no residencies.
• For residencies to be carried out in the first half of the year, it is recommended to submit proposals before November 1st to be evaluated by this first committee.
• Publication of selected proposals: December 2025 and May 2026. Dates and times will be agreed upon in advance depending on the availability of spaces.

5. Application: Each participant will fill out the form by clicking hereproviding the data of the proposal that will be evaluated by the committee formed for the selection of the residences.

6. Development of the residences: The creative residencies will take place at Espacio Benamar, a room adjacent to the accommodation, and the technical residencies at the Villa de Torrox Municipal Theatre. Accommodation will be in a rural house with a maximum capacity of 20 people in shared rooms. Transportation will not be provided; participants must have their own vehicle.
Depending on the nature and objectives of the proposed creative process, the residency may be extended in a second phase to the collaborating theaters of Flamenco Festival, like the: Sadler's Wells in London, the New York City Center, or the Adrienne Arsht Center in Miami.

7. Selection of proposals: The selection will be made by a committee of industry professionals, and its decision will be published on the websites. flamencofestival.org, concienciarte.orgThe committee may choose to conduct an interview. staff with the shortlisted artists.
The quality and originality of the proposal, the theme, and its affinity with the purpose of the program will be taken into account.  In ProgressThe project must also have a creative team, in addition to the performers, to ensure it reaches its full potential. For technical residencies, preference will be given to shows with a premiere date.
The participating artists will sign a letter of commitment upon acceptance of the residency, outlining all the required terms, benefits, and obligations.

8. Counterparts to be provided for the selected creative process proposals:

• • To carry out an activity for the citizens of Torrox.
  • Participate in press and promotional activities organized to give visibility to the project.
  • Presentation of the creative work produced during the technical residencies, in a preview format at the Villa de Torrox Municipal Theatre, as part of a series that will include the various creations from the residencies. The previews will take place on weekends (Friday or Saturday).
  • Participate in a promotional video or making-of video for the residency, as well as in promotional activities organized to publicize the residency program.
  • Mention and prominently display the logos of the Concienciarte Foundation in all dissemination and communication materials. Flamenco Festival, and the Torrox Town Hall with the legend:
