La Fundación Cante of the Mines organizes the cycleMuseum Flamenco', a cultural proposal that will take place between February and May at the Mining Museum of La Unión, and which brings together heritage, flamenco and tourism in a unique enclave linked to the mining and cultural history of the municipality.
The series consists of four top-level shows, starring established figures and young talents from flamenco current, many of them closely linked to International Festival of Cante of the Mines, indisputable reference of flamenco internationally.
El February 27The cycle opens with the show of Monica Iglesias, flamenco dancer who won the Desplante Award at the International Festival of Cante from the Mines. She will be accompanied by the flamenco singer Ana Mochon, an artist who has won awards at the festival itself on several occasions, and by the guitarist Luis Mariano, considered one of the most recognized and sought-after guitarists in the dance world flamenco.
El March 20. It will be the turn of Almudena Roca, one of the great promises of dance flamenco Currently. Originally from Cartagena, his career maintains a close link with the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, establishing herself as a young artist with her own identity and national projection.
El April 11The Mining Museum will host the recital of Al-Blanco & El Peli, two of the most outstanding and promising young figures of flamenco contemporary, whose joint work represents the renewal of cante and the guitar, with respect for tradition.
The cycle will end on May 29th with a grand flamenco gala starring Ricardo Fernandez del Moral y Encarnacion Fernández, both winners of the 'Miner's Lamp', the highest distinction of the International Festival of Cante of the Mines. In the case of Encarnación Fernández, this award has been obtained twice, consolidating her place as one of the great voices of cante flamencoThe guitar will be played by Antonio Muñoz, winner of the Bordón Minero, another of the festival's most prestigious awards.
Tickets for all shows are available through the platform Giglona single price of 10 euros per show. In addition, the public will be able to purchase the Full season ticket for just 30 euros, a particularly competitive proposal that reinforces the cycle's vocation to bring the flamenco of the highest quality for all audiences. In both cases, prices will only be increased by the platform's management costs.
