Seville thus becomes witness to a journey through the purest styles of flamenco, with the unique seal of the artists who have triumphed in La Unión. During the next few weeks, the Miners' Lamps will light up the temple flamenco from Torrijiano Street.
La Peña Flamenca Torres Macarena, an undisputed reference in art flamenco in Seville, presents the cycle “Mining Lamps in Torres Macarena”, a unique encounter with the talent of four artists who have been recognized with the Lámpara Minera, the highest award of the International Festival of Cante from the Mines of La Union.
The cycle will start next Saturday, January 11, with the performance of Jesús Corbacho, who with his youth and renewal obtained the Lámpara Minera in 2024, and will be accompanied by guitarist David Caro, with whom he shared the stage in the final of the Union festival.
The following Saturday, January 18, it will be the turn of introspection by Ricardo Fernández del Moral, winner of the award in 2012, who will bring with him his particular style, in which he masterfully combines cante and the guitar.
On Saturday, January 23, attendees will be able to enjoy the powerful voice of Amparo Heredia 'La Repompilla', the force of living tradition and winner in 2021, accompanied on guitar by Antonio Soto and to the rhythm of Manuel de Amparo and Luisa Chicano.
Finally, the cycle will close on Saturday, February 1 with a performance by María José Pérez, winner of the Lámpara Minera in 2015, who will be accompanied by guitarist Alberto López, putting the finishing touch with her maturity and elegant style.
