The peñaFlamenco societies are a vital part of the daily life of our art. Many of them have been around for over half a century, yet some voices warn of a lack of generational change in their leadership.
In Jerez, last year, a flamenco cultural association emerged with force, made up mostly of very young people eager to do things well. We spoke with Daniel Loma, President of the Las Cadenas cultural association, to take stock of their first twelve months of existence. Even without their own venue, they have been able to organize events beyond the necessary recitals as well as promote the production of some unique albums.
