La Peña Cultural Flamenca Miguel Vargas Paradas continues to remember its owner. And not just remembering him, but honoring all that he meant, and still means, in the squares, in the streets, in the traditions, in the culture, and in his every move.
And this June could not be any different. They are fulfilled 28 years after his death, which left the people and the world in pain flamenco. And the Peña Keep remembering it, keeping it in mind, day by day, minute by minute, decision by decision.
To this end, three days have been organized in his memory. First, on Thursday 26 June with the traditional floral offering to his grave, where his remains rest to the beat of tientos –You called me / and it was pure agony / from Calvary to Pará–. Also with two flamenco nights in the Gregorio Marañón Gardens de Paradas, in front of the mausoleum dedicated to his figure.
