The Gypsy Stew of Utrera presented the poster for the 69th edition of the festival

A tribute to Pitingo will be held on June 28th in the courtyard of the Salesian School in Utrera, with Juan Garrido and a cast consisting of El Pele, Aurora Vargas, flamenco dancer Juana Amaya, and local pianist Andrés Barrios.

El Gourmet Experience Space de El Corte Inglés The Plaza del Duque in the capital of Seville once again hosted the presentation of the poster of the oldest festival flamencos, designed by Juan Tomás Pérez Indiano, who signs a colorful work that pays tribute in its images to Antonio Manuel Álvarez Vélez 'Pitingo', to the figures of Fernanda and Bernarda from Utrera, to Kids –for the celebration of its Wild Year– or Pepa de Utrera, apart from commemorating the 600th anniversary of the arrival of the gypsies to the Iberian Peninsula.

This year's cast is made up of singers The Pele y Aurora Vargas, the dancer Juan Amaya and the pianist from Utrera Andres Barrios, with the performance of the honored Pitingo himself, praised by José Luis López The Nougat Maker as a host. The presentation will be made by a friend and colleague of this house Juan Garrido, who also acted as master of ceremonies at the announcement ceremony. They will all meet on Saturday, June 28th at XNUMX:XNUMX p.m. in the courtyard of the Salesian School of Utrera around the round tables with their clay pots, the bottle of red wine, spoons of palo and a plate of chickpea and pea stew with all the trimmings. Brotherhood of the Gypsies of Utrera, the festival organizer with the support of the City Council and contributions from sponsors, will gather an audience of two thousand people to support its call for solidarity. Their ticket sales will contribute to the organization's social work, as the event remains charitable. Those interested in attending can now reserve their tickets by calling 608 052 477.

Aurora Vargas and Juana Amaya, members of the Brotherhood, and the mayor of Utrera were present at the presentation on May 15. Francisco Jimenez along with some members of his corporation, the delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía in Seville Ricardo Sanchez, the Territorial Delegate of Tourism, Culture and Sport of the Board Carmen Ortiz Laynez and other authorities and representatives of the event's collaborating companies. The Brotherhood's steward took turns at the lectern. Andres Jimenez, Jose Jimenez Loreto as the Senior Brother of Los Gitanos de Utrera, the poster's author, Ricardo Sánchez, and the mayor of the municipality, who closed the ceremony. Pitingo justified his absence by recording the television program. MasterChef and sent a video instead. The Gypsy singer and cantaor from Almonte expressed his gratitude and will go "to give my all for the special affection I have for Fernanda and Utrera."
