El Festival Flamenco Fine Rose de Casares (Málaga) celebrates its eighth edition between the days 22 y 23 August with a programming that combines the cante and dance flamencowith Andalusian music and other artistic disciplines. All activities are free and take place in the historic center of Casares, in the area of the old town. Capuchin Convent and in the Blas Infante Cultural Center, in the enclosure of the Castle that crowns the town.
On Thursday, August 21, the pre-events begin in memory of Javier Pineda Potajito, the flamenco most illustrious after Fine Rose. Julio Guillén Navarro, a musicologist expert in the traditional Spanish guitar, leads the round table Potajito de Casares and the traditional guitar playing, in which they will participate Benito Trujillano, chronicler of Casares, and Paco Balbuena, director of the festival.
On Friday 22nd the night will be dedicated to Andalusian music with the performance of Javier Ruibal, one of the greatest exponents of Andalusian and Spanish singer-songwriter music, who will review his musical career in an intimate concert. It will be preceded by a performance by Fandila, one of the most prominent groups of the new Andalusian folk.

The eighth edition of the Casares festival is organized by the Rosa Fina Cultural Association, with funding from the Casares City Council and financial support from Votoratim Cimientos, Finca Cortesín, Carpintería Román, and Urbincasa. This year, the festival's bar is managed by the local association Mol Beta, which will donate all proceeds to the Blas Infante Nursery School project in Douassu, Gambia.
