The Seville Guitar Festival consolidates its international profile

The festival concludes its sixteenth edition, marked by artistic excellence, a diversity of styles, and a tribute to Julio Romero de Torres on the 95th anniversary of his death. More than eight thousand spectators attended the various performances.

El Seville Guitar Festival has closed its XNUMXth edition reaffirming its position as one of the most important international eventsrelevant articles dedicated to this instrument. The event has brought together 8.120 viewers among its programmingn -held from October 9 to November 7- and the previous concerts at the Teatro Maestranza, featuring the Guitar Quartet of Andalusia and the Royal Symphony Orchestra of Seville (ROSS) in April, conceived as a prelude to this edition.

Under the artistic directionstica of Francisco BernierThe competition has paid tribute to the painter Julio Romero de Torres on the 95th anniversary of his death, proposing a daylogo between mmusic and painting throughéIt is part of a program that has combined recitals, lectures, book presentations and master classes.

 

The province, prelude to the festival

The prologue to this edition has brought music to the province of Seville, reaffirming the festival's commitment to cultural dissemination beyond the capital. Andalusian Guitar Quartet The cycle began with three consecutive concerts in Tomares, Carmona and Santiponce, filling the heritage spaces of the Patio de la Fuente, the Santa Ana Cultural Center and the Monastery of San Isidoro del Campo with audiences.

The tour continued on Friday, October 17th in Espartinas, with the Viseu Guitar Quartet in the El Vizir Estate, and culminated on Sunday the 19th in Villanueva del Ariscal, where Rafael Riqueni he presented Inheritance at the Palace of the music.

A journey through the soul of the guitar

El Turina Space It once again became the epicenter of the festival, hosting an intense final week with recitals by Masataka Suganuma, Zoran Dukić, Santiago Lara, Dejan Ivanovic and David de Arahal, in addition to the closing concert of XVI Seville International Guitar Competition, which I gatheredó to intéinterpreters of mMore than twenty nationalities.
