The Ballet Flamenco of Andalusia inaugurates the XXXVI Art Festival Flamenco from Mont-de-Marsan

It will be held from June 30th to July 5th. In addition to the BFA, the following artists will perform: Jesús Carmona, Eva Yerbabuena, Estévez y Paños, Manuela Carrasco, Israel Fernández, Marina Heredia, José Valencia, Jesús Méndez, and Niño Josele, among others.

The headquarters of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, of the Ministry of Culture and Sport (Junta de Andalucía), has hosted the presentation of the XXXVI International Art Festival Flamenco from Mont-de-Marsan (France), to be held between June 30 and July 5. It is one of the benchmarks of the flamenco In France, which after 35 years seeks to reaffirm the approach with which it was conceived: innovate in continuityThe event was attended by the director of the Andalusian Institute of Flamenco, Christopher Ortega, and Patrick Bellito, on behalf of the programming committee, as well as other collaborating institutions and participating artists in this edition.

The event celebrates its 36th edition this year. To commemorate this milestone, the Ballet Flamenco Andalusia will be presented in the French city Pineda. Popular romance in three prints. The work, the first directed by Patricia guerrero, will open the Festival on June 30. It is a project that explores all the spiritual and expressive power of the dramatic poem of Federico Garcia Lorca.

This performance is part of the public company's international tour this summer. In addition to Mont-de-Marsan, Pineda It will be possible to see it at the beginning of June on the prestigious stage of the Sadler's Well Theatre from London and in the festival of Flamenco from Albuquerque (New Mexico), while Blessed Land, after its recent premiere in Chile, will also travel to Albuquerque and will be performed in Aubagne (France).

The Art Festival Flamenco Mont-de-Marsan and the Andalusian Government share a common goal: the knowledge and dissemination of flamenco among the new generations, those called to be the hobby and art of tomorrow. And around this idea, the French event has raised its programming lines, in which the three fundamental expressions of flamenco —cante, dance and guitar—continue to occupy a central place, with four recitals of cante exceptional. In addition, new artistic avenues are opening up with modern instrumentation and electronics to attract young audiences.

The event features five programming slots and consolidates the transformation initiated last year. In the theaters The pole, in addition to the Ballet, will perform Jesús Carmona, Eva Yerbabuena and the duo Estévez and Paños, together with the great master of flamenco cuisine Manuela Carrasco on his farewell tour. In The Molière, space intended for cante and music, artists such as Israel Fernández, Marina Heredia, José Valencia, and Jesús Méndez, accompanied by the guitarist Child Josele.
