But the virtue lies not only in the drive, but in the honeyed quality with which he bathes the bass and cradles the melismas of his privileged throat, producing highly personal sounds that are so rare these days. In the Flamenco Gathering The Well of Sorrows have had the good sense to remember the old folks in their Fall flamencoThey received a scratch from cante aged wine from El Boquerón, accompanied by the deep and flamenco guitar of Antonio Moya who, like the aficionados at the palace, likes the slightly toasted pot and enjoys lending his voice to singers of this caliber. He tamed his Francisco Sánchez with an antique pegboard and played with gusto in the falsetas, respecting the silences and cutting the responses in a dialogue of connoisseurs that flooded the stage with pinches with duende.

Diego sprinkled the salt flats with alegrías, tempering his dark Adam's apple, and a repertoire with a jinque was already foreshadowed. He tightened his belt with soleá, beginning with Cádiz, looking at himself in The Twin. It hurt in the... La Andonda and of BeansThe crosses for Levante were squeezed in the tarantos of Manuel Torre and of The Fool of Linares to then probe the wound, shedding fat little tears that revealed his sorrows in the mournful seguiriya, which he finished by digging deep into his soul with a tremendous macho. Then he brought the sweetness through tientos tangos, clinging to the forms of classicism. And he ended with rhythm to spare in a grand finale in which he was accompanied by "his sparrows", as he called the women of his family and his granddaughters, who perpetuate his saga with dance, overflowing with age and flamenco.
