The internationally renowned pianist, originally from Lebrija, admits that he is born and raised with a flamenco soul. Not in vain does he come from one of the most luxuriant sources of depth among the gypsy families of Lower Andalusia. A circumstance to which his academic training at the Higher Conservatory of Music of Seville is added.
At this crossroads he comes into contact with the music of Domenico Scarlatti, studying other great classical composers. It is then that he discovers that in the concepts of the Italian author there are traits of his own. flamencoFor Dorantes, Scarlatti was the first composer who was able to perfectly integrate flamenco cadences and melodies into his own style without explicitly citing them.
After its premiere at the last Seville Biennial, it arrives at the Villamarta Theater in Jerez this Friday, November 22 to present the result of this musical adventure, in the manner of a sound dream of the 'flamenco', if we can call it that, from that time of the early 18th century. With this meeting, we celebrate the International Day of Flamenco at our headquarters, for which we are very grateful to the admired David.
