El Shima Spain Park, a theme complex opened in 1994 and dedicated entirely to Spanish culture and traditions, has renewed the artistic direction of the Granada-born choreographer Daniel Dona for the 2026 season. It will be the third consecutive season in which the creator assumes the responsibility of designing and directing the dance and flamenco that Every year they captivate more than a million Japanese visitors.
At the same time, the park has opened a call for auditions to incorporate new performers into its stage productions. They are looking for dancers of flamenco, bolero school artists, modern dance, classical ballet, as well as jugglers and variety specialists. The epicenter flamenco of Spain Park remains the Carmen Hall Theater, where a show directed and choreographed by Daniel Doña is performed daily, with Cristian Martin as an attendee. Each edition offers a different dramaturgy that combines virtuosity, fantasy, and tradition, bringing the Japanese public closer to the cultural imaginaries of a diverse and timeless Spain.
