It is an honor and a privilege to welcome you to the first edition of the Biennial of Flamenco from Granada, an event that celebrates one of the most profound and universal cultural expressions of our land.
Granada, cradle of art and fusion of cultures, becomes the epicenter of flamenco, hosting great figures of the cante, the guitar and dance, as well as young talents who will carry this legacy into the future. Our city breathes flamenco in every corner, from the Albaicín to the Sacromonte, and this Biennial is a reflection of that unbreakable and passionate spirit.
This event is not only a tribute to our teachers and the history of the flamenco, but also a firm commitment to its dissemination, innovation and international recognition. We want Granada to consolidate itself as a benchmark in the world of flamenco, a place where artists and audiences can meet, share, and be moved by this unique art form. Furthermore, as part of our bid for European Capital of Culture, this Biennial demonstrates Granada's commitment to culture and its international reach.
