El International Festival of Cante of the Mines proudly announces that the official poster for its 64th edition has been created by Anthony Lopez Garcia, one of the great names in Spanish art and an undisputed reference of contemporary realism.

Antonio López is recognized as one of the most important representatives of Spanish art, the author of an artistic career that marks the history of 20th and 21st-century European art, both for his technical perfection and his intimate perspective on everyday life, creating a unique visual language. A recipient of the Prince of Asturias Award for the Arts and a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, his works are featured in the world's most prestigious collections and museums.

"The selection of Antonio López as the poster designer for this edition further consolidates the festival's cultural and international reach."

His participation as the author of the poster represents a historic milestone for the Festival of Cante de las Minas. “His work is much more than an image: it is a gesture that powerfully links visual art with the essence of flamenco", said the mayor of La Unión and president of the Foundation Cante of the Mines, Joaquin ZapataThroughout its history, the Festival has collaborated with leading figures in the visual arts, such as Eduardo Chillida, Pedro Cano, Carlos Saura, Joan Miró, Antoni Tàpies, Jaume Plensa, and many others. The selection of Antonio López as the designer of this year's poster further consolidates the festival's cultural and international reach.

The poster, whose details have not yet been revealed, will be presented on Tuesday, June 10 at 12:00 p.m. in the Corral de la Morería (C. de la Moreria, 17, Centro, 28005 Madrid).
