Expoflamenco travel, among wines and cantes, to the International Festival of the Mines of the Union
The 65th edition of this very important event in the arts jondo The world awaits us. Expoflamenco will be present in the cultural programming that the Foundation Cante de las Minas offers this every year. Thanks to a special collaboration agreement, we will offer a session of our activity.Flamenco & Sherry experience' and which we also call 'Of Sherry wine and its cantes'.
At the head of it, our colleague and coordinator of Space ExpoflamencoJosé María Castaño, National Prize winner FlamencoSherry Wine Expert and Certified Trainer. Creator of the original idea, he will be accompanied by the canteDavid Lagos's music and Manuel Valencia's touches. Both artists were brought in by the organizers, while Castaño's participation was facilitated by Expoflamenco.
This tasting conference is scheduled for next Thursday, August 6th, at 12:30 pm, at the Rincón de El Patrón in the town of La Unión (Murcia), as part of the cultural activities of the 65th International Festival of Cante of the Mines that is being developed this month of August 2026.
An interaction of wines and canteYes, not a pairing
As has been said on previous occasions, it is not a mere pairing but rather a sensory interaction that occurs between certain sherries and the cantes that are naturally akin to it. The deceitful game between the flower of wine and the beat flamenco which is reflected in the glass and in the soul. In this way, an inner communication is achieved that represents pure joy for the senses. Thanks to the magic of the south, fino becomes bulerías, oloroso becomes soleá, or the palo cut in seguiriya.
