The 46th edition of the International Festival of Cante
Flamenco Lo Ferro already knows the names of the eight
artists qualified for the semi-finals of their Competition
Cante after the meeting held by the jury last night
on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the headquarters of the peña
Ferreña.
After the five qualifying tests were held
during the four Saturdays of June and the first of
July in the courtyard of the Peña Flamenca “Golden Melon”, by the
that almost forty artists have passed, the Ferro jury has
decided that the semifinalists who will compete in the
semi-finals on July 23 and 24 at the Venue of
Summer in Lo Ferro are:
Chaparro Serrano, Emilio (Badajoz)
Fernández Rodríguez, Juan José (Albacete)
González García, María (Huelva)
López Núñez, Antonio (Seville)
Moreno Herrador, Julia (Jaén)
Morillo Castro, Francisco (Seville)
Ocón Cuadrado, Francisco (Córdoba)
Romero Alonso, Susana (Cádiz)
Seville, with two qualified artists, is the province with the most
applicants, while the rest come from Albacete,
Badajoz, Cadiz, Cordoba, Huelva and Jaen.

Flamenco From Lo Ferro we thank everyone
participants, their dedication and generosity have
demonstrated during the selection tests and we wish them
the best of luck in their artistic careers.
Similarly, we extend our congratulations to the
eight artists who have reached the semi-final stage
hoping they will give their best in front of the audience
Ferreño who is already eager to return to our venue
summer and meet the “Golden Melon” to the most flamenco singer
complete, endowed with €17.000, Special Trophy
“Fosforito” for the best-sung ferreña, endowed with €6.000 y
three first prizes in the different groups of cante
endowed with the amount of €2.500.
