FlamencA Arles celebrates its ninth edition, reaffirming its commitment to the flamenco pure and cultural heritage

From July 29 to August 15, 2026, the French city of Arles will once again become a meeting point for artists, researchers and enthusiasts of flamenco with the celebration of the ninth edition of the Flamenco Festival Arles.

A festival with its own identity

Since its creation in 2016, FlamencA Arles has developed a unique cultural project based on the defense of flamenco Authenticity, respect for its roots, and its ongoing dialogue with other artistic disciplines. Over nine editions, the festival has consolidated a unique identity that sets it apart within the scene flamenco internationally.

Flamenco and heritage

Held in a city steeped in history and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, FlamencA Arles establishes a natural link between the flamenco and cultural heritage. The festival conceives of art jondo as a living expression capable of engaging with tangible and intangible heritage, generating new spaces for encounter between tradition and contemporaneity.

A program open to creation

The program for this ninth edition includes shows by canteMusic and dance, guitar recitals, exhibitions, cultural events, and transdisciplinary projects. For more than two weeks, various emblematic spaces in Arles will host events that combine artistic excellence, research, and contemporary creation.

From July 29 to August 15, Arles will once again become a privileged space for encounters between flamenco, art and heritage, consolidating a cultural proposal that continues to grow without giving up its essence.

Photography, visual arts and flamenco

True to its multidisciplinary vocation, FlamencA Arles will once again dedicate a prominent space to the visual arts. The 2nd International Flamenco Photography Competition and several exhibitions by national and international artists will strengthen the dialogue between the flamenco and other forms of artistic creation, one of the festival's hallmarks since its inception.

A festival committed to its values

Under the direction of José Manrubia, FlamencA Arles maintains a working approach based on values ​​such as ethics, sustainability, equality, and cultural diversity. The festival is committed to a balanced program featuring established artists and emerging talents, promoting the visibility of new projects and fostering the coexistence of different sensibilities within the festival.  flamenco.

A cultural bridge between France and Spain

The international dimension remains one of the pillars of the project. Through collaborations with institutions, festivals, and artists from various countries, especially Spain, FlamencA Arles contributes to strengthening cultural exchanges and the dissemination of Flamenco Arles. flamenco beyond their territories of origin.

Nine years of growth

Driven by a solid associative structure and the commitment of numerous collaborators and volunteers, FlamencA Arles faces this ninth edition reaffirming the principles that inspired its birth: the defense of flamenco pure, the promotion of artistic creation and the enhancement of cultural heritage as tools for dialogue and transmission between generations.
